   We all have things that we love and are dear to us.  They keep us in this world and get us through our toughest days.  Our interests may divide us greatly, but they are also what bring us together.  Before I matured enough to realize what I love and the significance of it all, I lived in anxiety, boredom, and an empty life.  I had always known there was something missing and that once I found it, everything would start to make sense.  I was a curious child, always lost in thought and never cared much for socializing.  I've always known that I think differently from others as this idea of individualism struck me for the first time.  I was s

    We constantly worry about the present.  We're so occupied in our every day lives and it seems as though we never just stop and take a minute to think about where we are, who we are, and if we'll ever miss it.  We never really understand and appreciate something we have until it ends or we lose it.  But what if we all just took a minute; stop and think ahead.  Every day I walk into school, I think about what it will be like on my last day.  I picture myself walking away for the last time, stopping to turn towards the buildings that have held me for four years, and think about all of it: the friends I've made, the agonizing assignments I ac

    You know something? I never really understood this phrase “be yourself.”  However, that was back when I was blind and naïve to individualism, before I found things I loved that define me.  It took me 15 years and know that I have it; I never look back.  Being yourself is about not being afraid to love what you love, live by your own morals, and just have fun being you.  For the longest time, I’ve looked in the mirror and just saw a girl.  Now I see a bright young women and a face that changes every day.  I love it and I love being me.  I’m not afraid to be different anymore.  In fact, I’m in love with it
